Prestige Ibanez PerformanceAs part of the SR Prestige Series lineup, the Ibanez SR1600B 4-string electric bass guitar is a modern beast! Featuring well-balanced african mahogany body with a poplar burl top, the SR1600B also comes with a 5-piece panga panga/purpleheart atlas-4 neck and bound panga panga fingerboard, giving you both fast and comfortable playability. A touch of class is provided by the abalone oval inlays. Driven by a pair of Nordstrand™ Big Single passive pickups, you get plenty of tonal versatility for all kinds of styles, which can be shaped using Power Curve 3-band EQ and a bypass switch included with the Ibanez SR1600B.

Modern Sonic SupremcacyIbanez equipped the SR1600B with a pair of Nordstrand™ Big Single pickups to help deliver some of the most powerful modern bass tones possible. These pickups provide immense power into a single coil spacing, offering power and aggression with the same level of clarity you would expect from a single coil pickup.
Also featured is Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, their latest refinement on the concept of simple and straight forward EQ control. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are both centered on slightly different frequencies, an innovation that offers a preset range of the most favorable bass tones.
Precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the full tone control for the passive circuit.
