Smooth Rosewood fretboardOnce you first take hold the neck on the JS2480 and feel the JS neck profiling, you’ll find a solid foundation for chord-work, but also lightning-fast playability. Due to the 3-piece/bubinga neck, you’ll find it a touch more rigid than a typical 1-piece neck.
Ibanez also gave the frets of the JS2480 their Prestige treatment, by smoothing the edges down for an incredibly fluid feel!
DiMarzio Satchur8The JS2480 is a seriously tonally versatile guitar, no matter what tone you’re searching for, you’ll be able to find it here. Ibanez included a DiMarzio Satchur8 humbucker for hot-rodded tones oozing in harmonics and definition.
Also included is a SUSTAINIAC Driver pickup in the neck slot, along with a 3 way Sustainiac mode selector which offers virually endless sustain.
