bring out the best in your toneThe Hynotone Berserker dual-channel preamp pedal features dedicated Clean and Distortion circuits, covering a wide range of tones from classic, to modern metal. This stompbox delivers the core tonal architecture of a full amplifier head, replacing its primary sound-shaping functions in a single compact unit. Berserker packs two fully independent, switchable preamp circuits, each with its own Gain, Volume and 3-band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble).
You can set up two distinct tonal presets and switch between them seamlessly using the CHANNEL footswitch, accurately recrating the classic tube amp head Tone Stack character. The operating and output characteristics of JFETs are very similar to vacuum tubes. The Berserker circuit consists of five stages of JFET amplification circuit, following the same architecture found in well-known high-gain amp heads, allowing it to deliver a tone and feel that closely resembles that of a real tube head.

Boost Circuit Design
tube-like characterBerserker's boosi circuit is built on a JFET-based design. JFET shares unique tube-like distortion characteristics. Unlike op-amps or diode clipping, a JFET-driven boost circuit delivers a smoother and more natural tone.
natural voicingUnlike traditional op-amp or diode stages, JFET circuit provides a warm and smooth response, without any fizzy highs and artificial overtones often associated with Tubescreamers.
dynamic responseCompared to a standard clean boost, the JFET circuit prevents clipping without requiring extreme headroom, making it noise-gate-friendly and delivering a cleaner, more expressive playing experience.
Innovative Noise Gate Design
natural feelHynotone designed the noise gate from the ground up, with the main concept of achieving ultra-low noise while retaining natural feel and playing response.
jfet architectureThe noise gate's core circuit also adopts JFET. Although theoretically its linearity is slightly lower than VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier), this doesn't cause any issues. On the contrary, it can even add richer texture and tonal variation to the sound.
ultra-low noiseMost importantly, this noise gate features an extremely low noise floor, far lower than the majority of products on the market. Many noise gates actually introduce white noise or hiss into the signal chain, which goes against the original purpose of "removing noise", while Berserker effectively avoids the issue.
playing dynamicsOne of the most unique features, it adjust its behaviour in real time based on playing dynamics. During fast stops and tight rhythmic playing, the gate shuts cleanly and instantly with no leftover tails. When playing sustained notes, the release becomes smooth and gradual, preserving natural decay and ensuring seamless sound transitions.
Two Tone Modes
punchyTightens the low end without over-cutting it, giving a punchy and full-bodied sound. The midrange is forward and focused, adding aggression while remaining musical and expressive.
percussiveThis mode tightens it right up and gives a mid grind and percussive highs. Maximized aggression filled with overtones. When paired with the TIGHT switch, it delivers an even more focussed, tighter response with enhance string definition.
