Linear Phase Satellite System
pin-point transient responseIntegrated in the MK2 and subwoofer models is HEDD’s new ‘Lineariser’, a phase linearization tool which results in perfect impulse responses, alongside an audible improved spatial reproduction.
Since the inception of loudspeakers, there have been 2 differing design approaches to achieve a good bass response: closed box design, sometimes referred to as ‘infinite baffle’ and bass reflex speakers, or ported designs. By offering removable plugs for the bass ports, in tandem with advanced FIR (Finite Impulse Response filtering), HEDD now offers users the choice between both of these worlds: A pin-point transient response/optimum accuracy (closed cabinet approach) or the advantages of a dynamic and low-reaching bass-ported design with greater SPL.
HEDD are introducing an entirely phase linear Sat-Sub system, a real first. These are the very first Satellite Sub systems which are completely ‘…right in time’ by applying switchable group delay at the satellite output. The potential listener distances between subwoofers and satellites are able to be compensated in a +2m range, together with HEDD MK2 monitors a Linear Phase satellite system is able to be realised.

1. On-board Lineariser®:Implemented in the MK2 and subwoofer models is HEDD's well-known Lineariser®, a phase linearisation tool that leads to perfect impulse response and an audibly improved spatial reproduction. The MK2 Monitors have a new and improved lacquer for higher durability and better looks.
2. CoP Technology:Users for the first time can choose between the energy and bass-capacities of a modern bass-port design and the painstaking precision and control of a closed cabinet approach. Removable plugs for the bass reflex tubes, together with accordingly designed filter set ups allow optimum results in either mode.
3. Phase Linear Sub-Satellite System:HEDD are introducing a completely phase linear Sat-Sub system.
These are the first Satellite Sub systems that are completely “…right in time” by combining a phase linearized subwoofer with a correspondingly time delayed (group delayed) satellite output.
