No extra drivers needed for windows 10. Beware as reportedly there are no drivers for windows 7 so getting this card to work on older systems may prove to be problematic or near impossible. Excellent service from Scan and DPD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Was presently surprised by this wifi card! Had an ethernet from one room to another under the floorboards to my PC which stopped working. Rather than mess around pulling carpets and floorboards up thought I would give this a go until I got around to laying a new cable.... I'm not going to bother laying another. Dont know how but this card is just as fast as being cabled. The bluetooth works great too, managed to connect the galaxy Buds with no issues.

Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I Wirleless card + Bluetooth. USB requirements

Does this card require it to be plug into the motherboard USB port terminal? I only have two usb ports on my motherboard and their already taken so I need to avoid such having a usb requirement.

It requires a USB header for the bluetooth to work. If you are not bothered about the bluetooth then you dont need to plug it in Wifi will work without it. Also you could buy a USB header splitter so you have more slots :)

Is this compatible with an ASUS Z97-A motherboard?

I'm looking to upgrade my PCIe Wi-Fi card, and wanted to know whether this model is compatible with an ASUS Z97-A ATX motherboard? It's for online gaming, and an Ethernet cable isn't an option.
