5th Generation Sensor and Processor
26.1-Megapixel stacked back-side illuminated sensorBoasting a resolution of 26.16MP, the sensor uses a unique color filter array, synonymous to X-Trans CMOS sensors, to control moiré and false color without the use of an optical low-pass filter. Thanks to the sensor, X-H2S has dramatically improved performance, including 40fps blackout-free burst shooting and significantly better AF during burst shooting. As for video, X-H2S can record 4K/60P video without cropping and rolling-shutter effect is also greatly improved.
By placing the chips that process and read out signals on the back of the sensor surface, the reading speed is more than 4 times faster than the previous model and more than 30 times faster than the first-generation model. By taking advantage of the fast read speed, it is possible to process the focusing signal while processing the image for display. The stacked layer CMOS sensor is superior in speed and mobility

40 Frames per Second Burst Shooting
high-speed burst shooting at up to 40fpsX-Trans CMOS 5 HS is capable of blackout-free bursts of up to 40 frames-per-second. In burst mode, the sensor’s phase-detection pixels are controlled independently from the image display. This triples the number of possible calculations, which enables the ability to focus at incredibly high-speeds between individual frames with accuracy and precision.
High-speed burst shooting at up to 30fps for over 1000 imagesIncreased memory capacity dramatically extends the camera’s ability to record continuous frames in burst mode without stopping. Reach blackout free speeds of up to 40fps, make over 1000 frames continuously at 30fps in JPEG, or write RAW images at 20fps* when using electronic shutter on X-H2S.

Improved autofocus for better subject trackingAn improved AF prediction algorithm alongside X-Trans CMOS 5 HS and X-Processor 5 provides a major boost to subject tracking and autofocus accuracy on moving objects, most notably in Zone AF and low-contrast conditions.
Subject-detection autofocusX-Processor 5 features subject-detection AF based on Deep Learning techology that automatically detects and tracks a broader range of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, and trains – as well as human faces and eyes, so image-makers can concentrate on composition and creativity, confident that X-H2S will track focus accurately.
Support for HEIF image formatThe HEIF image format delivers 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than standard JPEG files, continuing to expand Fujifilm’s reputation of deliverying high-quality images straight out of camera.

Open Gate 6.2K/30P 4:2:2 10bit
Open Gate 6.2K movies can be recorded internally at 30P in 4:2:2 10-bit colour. X-H2S’s 26.1MP Stacked BSI CMOS sensor has an incredible readout speeds of up to 1/180 sec,* which tightly controls rolling shutter effects, resulting in more natural-looking motion when recording video.

4K/120p high-speed video recording X-H2S also supports 4K/120P high-speed video. Now, fast-moving subjects can be recorded in incredible detail for high-quality, slow-motion footage.
Up to 240 minutes of continuous recordingThe camera features a new heat-dissipating structure, increasing the video recording time up to 240 minutes of 4K/60P video. *
*When recording video at 25℃ from a cool start, with the auto power-off temperature set at “High,” bitrate of 100Mbps, a vertical battery grip VG-XH attached and using three batteries. The recording duration depends on remaining battery charge and the type and capacity of a memory card used. When the main unit heats up, filming may automatically be terminated.
Optional cooling fan accessoryAttach the optional cooling fan (FAN-001) to X-H2S to extend video recording capabilities in high temperatures.
Apple ProRes Support
Apple ProRes supportX-H2S supports Apple ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and ProRes 422 LT. ProRes 422 Proxy is also avaialble when recording ProRes, which can assist in streamlining post-production workflows.
Enhanced AF for videoX-H2S supports the AF+MF function when recording movies and offers subject-detection AF during video recording for accurate tracking of fast-moving subjects.
New F-Log2 Support
F-Log + F-Log2In addition to F-Log, X-H2S also supports F-Log2, which records an expanded dynamic range of 14+ stops.* This range is wider than current F-Log and broadens post-production potential.

Workflow
Raw output via HDMIWhen combined with an ATOMOS HDMI device, the RAW video output from the X-H2S can be recorded as 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW at frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97fps. And when combined with Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12Gs, the RAW video output from the camera can be recorded as Blackmagic RAW at frame sizes up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97fps.
Remote Rec functionAdd the optional File Transmitter FT-XH* to support the Remote Rec function by wired LAN/wireless LAN. This new feature enables up to four X-H2S cameras to be simulatenously controlled from a browser.

5-axis StabilisationAn all-new 5-axis in-body image stabilization system, made possible by X-Processor 5 and a sensing control function, provides up to seven stops of compensation. This powerful feature gives users the freedom to handhold in conditions that previously would have required support, such as sports or low light.

Feather-touch shutter releaseThe shutter button’s feel has been adjusted to make it more intuitive when half-pressed, helping users release the shutter at precisely the right moment.
Supports CFexpress™ Type B cardX-H2S has one CFexpress™ Type B memory card slot and one UHS-II SD memory card slot. Draw out the full potential of X-H2S’s incredibly fast burst mode and its professional video performance with CFexpress™ Type B cards.
Enhanced video functionsVideo operation has been made easier, thanks to the stand-alone video-recording button and 1.62 million dot vari-angle LCD monitor, which can be fully rotated – even when HDMI and microphone cables are plugged in. A full-sized HDMI Type A port is also provided for the first time on an X Series camera.
Increased connectivityX-H2S can be connected directly to a PC for webcam and livestreaming use in 4K, without requiring the FUJIFILM X Webcam software. It can also be combined with the optional File Transmitter FT-XH to support FTP transfer and tethering capabilities through wired and wireless internet connections, or USB-connected smartphones.
