The bold and captivating International Colour collection originally debuted over four decades ago and was produced for less than one year. Introduced in 1981 with appointments steeped in ‘70s style alongside a fresh palette of colour named for exotic and provocative spots on the map, the International Colours are now coveted by collectors and prized for their exotic beauty and rarity. Available once again in a fittingly limited run, the Made in Japan International Colour Series combines vibrant vintage Fender vibe with Made in Japan craftsmanship to produce a transcontinental treasure.
Changing course from the traditional blueprint, these basses boast resonant basswood bodies, 9.5” radius maple or rosewood fingerboards and medium jumbo frets to accommodate more adventurous playing. The ‘70s “U” shape neck is outfitted just like the original with convenient "Bullet" style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism and even the serial number on the headstock face. Vintage-style split single-coil Precision Bass® pickups and 4-saddle bridge with single groove saddles deliver iconic Fender tone and feel.
Easy on the eyes with exceptional playability and bonafide vintage Fender tone, the Made in Japan International Colour Precision Bass® is a retro beauty with select refinements for a supremely comfortable playing experience.

Further boosting the aesthetic appeal is the gorgeous Sienna Sunburst finish and gloss urethane neck finish.
Vintage-Style Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickups
Fender included a pair of Vintage-Style Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup, alongside a master volume control and a master tone Control to give you total control of legendary P bass tones.
Also included in a 4-Saddle Vintage-Style bridge to ensure each string vibration to the body is as clean as possible, whilst the inclusion of Vintage Style tuners ensure stable and smooth tuning.
