Fender’s new Pro II series has breathed new life into Strat, whilst remaining true to all the elements which have made the Strat the beloved icon it is today.
This, the American Professional II Stratocaster takes full inspiration from over 60 years of innovation, inspiration and evolution to meet and even surpass the demands of the modern player.
Fender’s ever popular Deep ‘C’ neck now features super-smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a ‘Super-Natural’ satin finish and a newly designed sculpted neck heel for a magnificently comfortable feel and simple access to the upper registers. Fender included their new ‘V-Mod II’ Stratocaster single-coil pickups to deliver greater articulation than ever before, all whilst retaining that inimitable bell-like chime and warmth that can only come from the Stratocaster. Also new to American Pro II series is an upgraded 2-point tremolo with a cold-rolled steel block to increase sustain, clarity and that high-end sparkle.

V-Mod II pickupsFender’s newly designed V-Mod II single coil pickups inject a new lease of life into the American Professional Stratocaster series. Wound rather differently from the traditional single coil, the V-Mod II pickups feature an altogether more articulate sound, whilst retaining the iconic chime and high-end sparkle that you’d be right to expect from a Strat.
Another rather welcome addition is the introduction of ‘Push/Pull’ electronics to broaden the guitars voicing capabilities, now you’re able to add the neck pickup to switch position 1 for a more Tele-style configuration. It’s details like this which set the American Professional II series apart from a more traditional Strat.
Re-Designed TremoloThe classic 2-point tremolo is a staple on the classic Strat models, favoured for its smooth bar action and stability. The American Pro II Stratocaster features a new upgraded version of this traditional design, sporting a cold-rolled steel block to boost sustain, clarity and high-end chime.

ROLLED FINGERBOARD EDGESDelivering both comfort and speed, the American Professional II Deep “C” neck profile is slim at the nut and fills out gradually as it approaches the neck joint to create a natural feel that’s perfect for chording and single note playing alike.

ELECTRONICSA performance friendly push-push switch on the second tone control activates the neck pickup in switch positions one and two, adding two unique pickup configurations not normally found on a Strat.

ROASTED PINEThis guitar is available in either alder or roasted pine (on select colors). Alder is a classic Fender tonewood with a balanced sound perfect for almost any genre. Roasted pine is a lightweight wood known for punchy and complex tone.
