an embodiment of elegance and playabilityCombining classic design elements with eye-catching appeal, the American Custom Stratocaster attracts the most discerning players as the embodiment of elegance and perfectly alluring playability. A NOS lacquer finish allows the two-piece select ash body to breath and resonate with each note. The roasted 2A birdseye maple neck has a '60-style "oval C" profile, compound-radius (9.5"-12") round-lam rosewood fingerboard, and 22 narrow tall (6105) frets for great playability in every register.
Custom Shop hand-wound '64 pickups (with reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup) are joined to a five-way switch and vintage modified #2 wiring with tone-saver bleed, which features a master volume, tone #1 (neck and middle pickups), and tone #2 (bridge) with treble bleed (for keeping mids and rolling off highs without adding bass). Other features include a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, Sperzel®die-cast tuning machines with white pearloid buttons, bone nut and American Standard string tree. A deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity are also included.
