This milestone instrument features a select alder body with sculpted body contours, finished in our stunning Liquid Gold—a lustrous, deep metallic finish that captures and reflects light with mesmerizing depth and richness. For effortless playability, the quartersawn maple neck features our Modern “D” profile and smooth Ultra Satin finish. and ULTRA NOISELESS TELE PICKUPSThis Anniversary Ultra Telecaster features a set of pickups specially voiced for this instrument. Fender's first ever single spaced dual coil pickup, the Fastlane humbucker is meticulously voiced to have a present top end with a decided mid push. It is a medium output pickup with great string to string note clarity and warm, articulate breakup. The neck pickup is our hottest Ultra Noiseless Tele pickup to date, voiced to match the output of the Fastlane without sacrificing clarity and warmth.
ADVANCED S-1
SWITCHINGThis instrument offers ultimate tonal versatility via two S-1 switches on the volume and tone knob. The S-1 switch on the volume activates series mode, engaging both pickups wired in series for a fatter sound with a bump in output. The S-1 on the tone knob changes the wiring on the Fastlane™ humbucker from series to parallel, offering a brighter, chimier, lower-output tone that’s like a beefier single-coil but still hum-canceling.
EBONY FINGERBOARD
WITH LUMINLAY SIDE DOTSBuilt for speed, comfort and facility, the 10"-14" compound-radius fingerboard is rounded near the nut, becoming increasingly flatter as it nears the upper register. Luminlay glow-in the-dark side dots provide exceptional visibility on the darkest stages while lap steel inspired inlays add distinctive vintage character and visual appeal. "Ultra" rolled fingerboard edges and a silky, smooth "Ultra" satin finish make the neck effortless to play.
