Suitable for many styles, it’s sound is very distinctive and instantly recognisable to those that have heard it before. The sound of the Thunderbird bass was very common on classic rock records throughout the 60's and 70's, and still to this day it is a go-to sound for many bass players.

Paired with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard, this bass delivers a rich sound with a touch of warmth. A wonderfully balanced instrument for players of all styles!
SlimTaper neck profileEpiphone included their SlimTaper neck profiling on the Thunderbird model. A little thinner than the initial bass necks, this offers fluid and smooth playability across the entire scale.
