Jack Casady Bass
(Faded Pelham Blue)
The World's Most Popular Semi-Hollow Electric BassThe Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass was designed by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Jack Casady and is the result of years of experimentation by the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna bassist to find an instrument with superior electric tone and the response of an acoustic bass. Featuring the Casady-designed JCB low-impedance pickup and a three-position rotary impedance control for a wide range of tonal versatility, this bass certainly has a unique sound with a lot to offer.

Distinctive & Instantly Recognisable
JCB-1 low-impedance humbuckerThe JCB-1 low-impedance humbucker features plenty of warmth and clarity to compliment the semi-hollow body tone. It’s a hugely versatile pickup and is very much unique in its sound, a little warmer, whilst adding some extra character to the sound.
Suitable for many styles, it’s sound is very distinctive and instantly recognisable to those that have heard it before. The semi-hollow bass sound was very common on classic rock records throughout the 60's and 70's, and still to this day it is a go-to sound for many bass players.
Classic Semi-Hollowbody Tone
set mahogany neckFeaturing a layered maple top, back and sides, Epiphone’s Jack Casaday bass is ready to lend itself to almost any playing style, from delta blues and jazz right through to rock n roll.
Paired with a set mahogany neck and Indian Laurel fretboard, this bass delivers a bright and snappy sound with a touch of warmth. A wonderfully balanced instrument for players of all styles!
1960's Rounded profileEpiphone included their 1960's Rounded neck profiling on the Jack Casaday model. A little thinner than the initial necks from the 50s, this neck offers fluid and smooth playability at both ends of the neck.
