Versatile, powerful and precise – exactly as it should beMonitoring in an untreated room can never be considered ideal. Fortunately, Dynaudio’s ‘LYD’ series is here to make accurate, clean sound for the home or project studio a reality. Dual 50-watt power amps power a punching 5” driver and smooth soft-dome tweeter for precise audio reproduction. Dynaudio also included 3 handy switches to ensure it’s quick and easy to find the best sound to suit your room.
Firstly, a Position switch filters reflective interference when in place within 20” of a wall. Next up, a ‘Sound Balance’ selector increases or limits brightness dependent on the characteristics of your room – perfect for switching between rooms with treated and bare walls. Lastly, is a 3-way ‘Bass Extension’ switch to give you control of your Dynaudio LYD-5’s low end in 10Hz increments.
Adam Hall ECO 1 Monitor Isolation PadsThe ‘Pad Eco 1’ monitor isolation pads from Adam Hall have been designed to isolate your studio monitors acoustically, which reduces disturbing resonance from the surface upon which they’re placed. This significantly improves your monitors response, which of course means a greater platform from which to mix/master. The Pad Eco 1 features a two-component design which allows for 3 possible combinations – a horizontal placement and 2 further angles. The Eco 1 will work perfectly fine sitting on top of a desktop, or equally well on monitor stands.
