Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fiddly setup I didn't see the need for two into one usb cable, however after the first introduction to a pc or laptop, when I had to plug in both usb plugs, on subsequent use it only required the long lead (the short one is just an additional power supply). As I said, a bit fiddly but a good way to use old 2.5 drives. MikeN

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Value for Money SATA Caddy I bought 2 of these caddies because I already had one (same product, different name) and it had proved to be a low cost and effective solution to the spare hard disk problem. After removing the hard disks from 2 Macbook Pros I decided to utilise them as backup disks. The Dynamode product arrived in its own box with its own tiny screwdriver, a slip-case and a composite USB lead. Fitting the disks into the caddy was easy- just 2 screws to undo and refit after re-assembling the business end, drive and outer box. The only issue I have is that the leatherette "slip-case" provided by Dynamode is very tight and not easy to pull over the drive unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the job done + Didn't have compatibility issues with Windows or Ubuntu + Case was a nice addition + Powered by USB only, no need for external power - Feels really cheap - Pretty lackluster transfer speed, Would have loved USB 3.0 It's a really basic unit that allows you to make an internal HDD external and it's especially good at cloning a HDD to your new SSD so you can upgrade to an SSD without too much downtime that would occur from reinstalling your chosen OS, it's handy to have and cheap, why not pick one up just in case?
