CIOKS DC7 v2 Pedal Power SupplyDC7 v2 is the latest version of the award-winning DC7 which quickly became the industry standard for powering effects pedals after its 2018 release. It remains the thinnest, most flexible power supply on the market and it has now been updated with a USB-C outlet delivering three times the power the original USB-A outlet did (15W instead of 5W). DC7 v2 has been also optimized to run more efficiently and therefore cooler than the original DC7 did while still providing enough power to kickstart a small sun.

With a one-inch (25.4 mm) profile and a weight of just 1.1 lb (500 g), DC7 v2 uses advanced two-stage switch-mode technology to deliver up to 48W across 9 outlets. The DC7 v2 features 7 isolated DC outlets, each with four selectable voltages and up to 6W with 660 mA at 9V per outlet and a 24V auxiliary output.

This means DC7 v2 can easily power multiple high-current pedals and devices such as the Line6 HX series and the Neural DSP Quad Cortex product range without problems or noise of any kind. DC7 v2 can be expanded with CIOKS 4, CIOKS 8 and Crux (plus other compatible 24V-powered units) for even more isolated outputs and flexibility. Paired with the updated CIOKS Flex cables, it remains the most versatile, reliable and noise-free pedalboard power solution available.

CIOKS 8 Power Supply ExpanderWhen the revered CIOKS ‘DC7’ was finally released unto the world, it caused people to sit up and take notice in the PSU world, and for good reason! Thanks to its revolutionary low-profile, low weight and high output connectivity, the ‘DC7’ quite rightly cemented its position as the premier PSU for pedalboards the world over. Now, with the new ‘8 Expander’, the range has grown to offer pedal devotees even further low noise power options. CIOKS ‘8’ the company’s largest switch-mode power supply extender. ‘8’ isn’t only the perfect accompaniment to the CIOKS ‘DC7’ (via the DC7’s 24 V outlet), but it’s also able to be utilised and offer clean power from other PSUs which have a 24 V DC outlet.

With its eight additional outlets, individually selectable between 9, 12, 15 and 18V DC, each outlet can deliver up to a staggering 660 mA! To use CIOKS 8 as an extension to DC7, simply use the included DC Link cable to connect the CIOKS 8 to the courtesy 24V outlet on your DC7 and you are good to go. In case you want to use CIOKS 8 as a stand-alone power supply you can power it with any 24V DC adapter with the appropriate DC plug. To get the full 6W output power on all 8 isolated outlets, the adapter used to power CIOKS 8 should have an output power of 60W.
