Introducing the ‘T-4 Custom' from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.
In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

A Mesmerising 'Sunset Purple' Finish
LOOKS TO DIE FORThe Blade T-4 is comprised of only the highest-grade materials. The body is made from Swamp Ash, a revered tonewood, who’s tonal characteristics typically offer a brighter sound than more common types of wood, and is also often slightly lighter than other tonewoods. Swamp Ash also sports a magnificent woodgrain, which makes for a highly enviable aesthetic. This is highly evident in the finish of the T-4.
The fingerboard is made from Maple, which is a perfect choice of wood for the T-4 due to it producing a warmer and more neutral tone than Pao Ferro. Perfect for those bluesy licks and chord passages. The neck itself is beautifully made and sit’s in the fretting hand with a brilliantly natural, comfortable feel.
A staple of Mr Levinson’s Blade guitars is their consistently breath-taking finishes. The T-4 Custom is no exception to this rule and sports a truly mesmerising finish, so good that it’s almost impossible not to pick up the T-4 once you’ve locked eyes on this incredible finish.
The Variable Spectrum Control (VSC)
INCREDIBLE SCOPE FOR VARIATION IN TONEAs mentioned earlier, the T-4 is a guitar which is rich in innovative and revolutionary technology, namely, the 'VSC' technology.
The Variable Spectrum Control is a means of tweaking the tone of the guitar. For example, if the piece of music you’re playing requires a thinner, more 'jangly' tone that you might normally expect from a single-coil pickup, no problem, just tweak the VSC, flick the switch and enjoy the chimey, bell-like tones you’d expect to find on an entirely different kind of guitar.
Need something a little creamier and little thicker, the VSC has you covered. Just open up the dedicated panel on the reverse of the guitar, turn a screw, and reap the rewards of the incredble VSC. Many guitars are portrayed to be versatile, but none can lay claim to be as versatile as the T-4.
Stellar Hardware
PREMIUM, VERSATILE HARDWAREThe T-4 is decorated in premium hardware from top to bottom. The T-4 features true single coils to deliver solid punch and bite that you'd expect from an instrument such as the T-4. In the bridge position is Gary Levinson designed ‘Levinson T-4’ for snarling blues licks and red hot powerchords, whilst in the neck position you'll find the slightly overwound T-2, hit the T-2 for those seductive leads and arpeggiated passages.
The T-4's controls feature a 3-way pickup selector switch offering a wide palette of tones. Whilst in the 1st position, this selects the bridge pickup, the middle position will select both the bridge and the neck, whilst in the 3rd position, this leaves the neck pickup active. The volume and tone controls are placed well out of the way so as to avoid any accidental knocks and the pots themselves are solid and sturdy and are easy to grip.

It doesn’t matter what the value of the guitar, if you buy it from us we take extra steps to ensure you are completely satisfied with your instrument. Each guitar goes through a 22 step professional guitar set up process to make sure your new instrument sounds as the manufacturer intended it to play.
This means that your guitar may take an extra day to deliver, just so we can get these checks done. You’ll receive email updates once your guitar is ready for despatch.
