Blade - 'RH-4 Classic'

Blade RH4 Misty Violet

FROM THE LEGENDARY GARY LEVINSON...
THE BLADE 'RH-4'
Introducing Blade’s flagship ‘RH-4’, from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.

In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

Fast forward to the present day, and the results of Gary’s unwavering commitment to building the finest quality guitars, full of revolutionary innovations are plain to see in guitars such as this, the Blade ‘RH-4’. The ‘RH-4’ features show-stopping ‘Misty-Violet’ finish, truly prestigious components and the ground-breaking ‘Variable Spectrum Control’ (VSC). The VSC hugely versatile means of shaping the guitars tone, Adjustable Tension Guide (ATG), and other innovations such as the ‘EZ Access Neck Rod’ for quick and simple access to the truss rod.

This is a truly professional guitar, steeped in prestige, for the guitarist who seeks killer tones, show-stopping looks and flawless playability! The ‘RH-4’ has modern features, functionalities and a gorgeous aesthetic, but with a classic vibe that feels inexplicably familiar when you pick up this spectacular guitar. The ‘RH-4’ from Blade is the definitive manifestation of comfort enhancing ergonomics, ingenuity, show-stopping looks, perfect balance and unmatched tone.

A Guitar Steeped with Prestige

back

ebony fretboardThe ‘RH-4’s breath-taking body is undoubtedly spectacular, there can be no argument about this. Wrapped up in slender curves, comfortable contours and sleek routing for both maximum comfort and maximum aesthetic. The body is made from ‘Swamp Ash’, which is part responsible for the magnificent finish on the ‘RH-4’.

Tonally, Swamp Ash strikes a fine balance between brightness and warmth, and imparts articulation and presence hugely well. Swamp Ash is famed for taking so well to a guitars finish, the ‘RH-4’ is a shining example of this. Together with its sepia-tinged scratch plate, you’d be hard pressed to find a better-looking guitar than Blade’s flagship ‘RH-4’!

The fingerboard is made from highly-prized ebony. It’s deep black colour, high-durability and smooth playing surface make ebony the perfect material for a guitar of such prestige. Tonally, ebony occupies a mid-ground between maple and rosewood, serving up a bright tone, whilst still retaining a rich warmth and an articulate mid-range/high-range.

Adjustable Tension Guide

back

UNMATCHED SUSTAINThe 'RH-4' is packing some truly revolutionary technology. For example, the ‘Adjustable Tension Guide’ (ATG), this ATG technology, is unique to Blade guitars. It comprises of a small, spring loaded, height adjustable string tree which sits between the 1st and 2nd strings. This feature allows tension adjustment to compensate for the difference between various string gauges.

Furthermore, its asymmetric shape places slightly greater pressure to the 1st string than the 2nd, this design results in incredible sustain and minimum friction eliminating the majority of detuning problems.

A Truly Prestigious Guitar

4K Recording

Blade - 'RH-4'The flagship ‘RH-4’ represents ‘Blade’ quality from top to bottom. Featuring unique technology, premium components, a show-stopping finish and top-drawer hardware, the ‘RH-4’ sit’s atop the Blade family-tree for good reason.

Featuring Blade’s own ‘LH-55’ classic humbucker in the bridge position, and a pair of ‘V-3’ single-coiled humcancellers for noiseless response, tonal versatility is the name of the game here. From the raw, biting voice of the LH-55, to the thicker, creamier, glassier tones of the ‘V-3’s, the spectrum of tones on offer with the ‘RH-4’ is truly vast. Control over the pickups is determined by a 5-way pickup selector, allowing for a wide choice of voicing/tone options. Modify the ‘RH-4’s tone even further with the VSC control and there’s almost nothing the ‘RH-4’ can’t turn her hand to!

The ‘RH-4’s bridge system is taken care of via the utterly fantastic ‘Falcon’ double-action tremolo system. This patented tremolo looks, feels and sounds like a vintage style unit but incorporates a patented double block system that also allows uptrem while sitting flat on the guitar body. Unlike floating tremolos, the Falcon transmits all of the tone the strings and wood have to offer for the biggest sound possible. The Falcon Tremolo enhances attack and sustain AND stays in tune even if a string is broken - a feature that floating trems cannot do. Even deep bends against open strings are possible - the open strings do not detune. Now that’s style...

If you're in the market for a truly prestigious guitar, with looks to die for, playability and tones that are out of this world, it can only be Blade’s ‘RH-4’.
