In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

A Sleek, Curvacious Body, Exquisitely Finished
SHOWSTOPPING LOOKSThe Texas Deluxe’s body is unquestionably stunning, wrapped in slender curves and sleek routing for maximum comfort. The body is made from highly revered ‘American Pine’, a tonewood which is a close relative to spruce and cedar wood, American Pine has a superb resonance thanks to its density, and has seen increased use with some of the most respected manufacturers in the world today.
The use of American Pine offers many advantages, both sonically and otherwise. Firstly, American Pine makes for a gentle, but present high-end, whilst responding thoroughly well to low frequencies, and has an open midrange with magnificent sustain and resonance. Secondly, American Pine, whilst similar to spruce and cedar in its characteristics and tonal behaviour, is not similar in its physical weight, American Pine makes for lightweight feel. Good news for those guitarists who often find themselves performing prolonged sets and for those long, hard days in the studio!
The Texas Deluxe’s sublime fingerboard is made from Maple. Maple offers a smooth feel, bright tone and a ‘snappy’ attack, creating a clear, crisp overall sound and resulting in a fluid playing experience.
Adjustable Tension Guide
UNMATCHED SUSTAINThe Texas Deluxe is packing some truly revolutionary technology. For example, the ‘Adjustable Tension Guide’ (ATG), this ATG technology, is unique to Blade guitars. It comprises of a small, spring loaded, height adjustable string tree which sits between the 1st and 2nd strings. This feature allows tension adjustment to compensate for the difference between various string gauges.
Furthermore, its asymmetric shape places slightly greater pressure to the 1st string than the 2nd, this design results in incredible sustain and minimum friction eliminating the majority of detuning problems.

BLADE - TEXAS DELUXEThe Texas Deluxe represents ‘Blade’ quality from top to bottom. Featuring unique technology, premium components and hardware far beyond its price point, the Texas Deluxe effortlessly breezes past other guitars in its peer group.
Featuring Levinson’s own ‘LH-35’ humbucker in the bridge position, and Levinson’s ‘VS-2’ single coils in the middle and neck position. Powerful, cutting, snarling tone is the name of the game here. From the raw, biting voice of the ‘LH-35’, to the chiming, creamier, rounder tones of the ‘VS-2’, the spectrum of tones on offer with the Texas Deluxe is truly vast. Control over the pickups is determined by a 5-way pickup selector. Modify the Texas Deluxe’s tone even further with the VSC control and the push/pull coil tap and there’s almost nothing the Texas Deluxe can’t turn her hand to!
The Texas Deluxe’s bridge system is taken care of by Blade’s own rock-solid ‘M-525’ tremolo system. The M-525 offers solid tuning stability, even after some serious whammy-bar abuse! Any concerns regarding any potential tuning issues from whammy-bar action can be firmly laid to rest thanks to the inclusion of the ‘Adjustable Tension Guide’ (ATG), this ATG technology, is unique to Blade guitars.
