Blade - 'RH-2 Classic'

Blade - 'RH-2 Classic'

FROM THE LEGENDARY GARY LEVINSON...
THE BLADE RH-2
Introducing the ‘RH-2 Classic from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.

In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

Fast forward to the present day, and the results of Gary’s unwavering commitment to building the finest quality guitars, full of revolutionary innovations are plain to see in guitars such as this, the Blade RH-2 Classic. The RH-2 Classic features the ground-breaking ‘Variable Spectrum Control’ (VSC), Adjustable Tension Guide (ATG), and other innovations such as the Tapered Neck Joint to offer unparalleled access to the upper frets.

This is a truly professional guitar, for the professional guitarist. The RH-2 has modern features and functionalities, but with a classic vibe that feels like an old friend when you pick up this magnificent guitar. The RH-2 radiates sheer quality right from the moment it’s in your hands. If you’re in the market for a spectacularly versatile electric guitar, with looks to die for, it has to be the Blade RH-2.

A Stunning & Sleek Finish

Blade RH2 Classic, Maple Fb (Korea) NS

LOOKS TO DIE FORThe Blade RH-2 is comprised of only the highest-grade materials. The body is made from Swamp Ash, a revered tonewood, who’s tonal characteristics typically offer a brighter sound than more common types of wood, and is also often slightly lighter than other tonewoods. Swamp Ash also sports a magnificent woodgrain, this is highly evident in the finish of the RH-2, particularly on the reverse of the guitar.

The fingerboard is made from Pau Ferro. Pau Ferro offers a smooth feel, warm tone and a ‘snappy’ attack, creating a clear, crisp overall sound. The neck itself is beautifully made and sit’s in the fretting hand with a brilliantly natural, comfortable and familiar feel. The neck is super-fast and extremely encouraging to play.

A staple of Mr Levinson’s Blade guitars is their consistently breath-taking finishes. The RH-2 Classic is no exception to this rule and sports a truly mesmerising finish, so good that it’s almost impossible not to pick up the RH-2 once you’ve locked eyes on this incredible finish.

The Variable Spectrum Control (VSC)

Blade RH2 Classic, Maple Fb (Korea) NS

INCREDIBLE SCOPE FOR VARIATION IN TONEAs mentioned earlier, the RH-2 is a guitar which is rich in innovative and revolutionary technology, namely, the 'VSC' technology.

The Variable Spectrum Control is a means of tweaking the tone of the guitar. For example, if the piece of music you’re playing requires a thinner, more 'jangly' tone that you might normally expect from a single-coil pickup, no problem, just tweak the VSC and enjoy the chimey, bell-like tones you’d expect to find on an entirely different kind of guitar.

Need something a little creamier and little thicker, the VSC has you covered. Just open up the dedicated panel on the reverse of the guitar, turn a screw, and reap the rewards of the incredble VSC. Many guitars are portrayed to be versatile, but none can lay claim to be as versatile as the RH-2.

Stellar Hardware

4K Recording

PREMIUM, VERSATILE HARDWAREThe RH-2 is decorated in premium hardware from top to bottom. The RH-2 features a Humbucker/Single-Coil/Single-Coil pickup arrangement for brilliant versatility in the tonal palette. In the bridge position is Gary Levinson designed ‘Levinson LH-55 Vintage Humbucker’ for searing, flaming hot rock licks and powerchords, whilst in the middle and neck position are 2 ‘VS-1 Single Coil’ pickups for the times when you need to cut through the mix with thinner, more bell-like tones.

The RH-2 features Levinson’s own ‘FT-4 Tremolo’ with a steel block, the FT-4 offers huge scope and opportunity for whammy-bar abuse, whilst still retaining it’s rock-solid tuning thanks to the locking machine-heads.

The RH-2's controls offer a 5-way pickup selector switch offering a wide choice of pickup choices, volume and tone controls. The tone pot also acts as a coil tap, simply tap the tone pot and the RH-2's bridge humbucker transforms to a single coil style pickup instantly.

If you're in the market for a genuinely versatile guitar, with looks to die for and playability and tones that are out of this world, nothing comes close to the Blade RH-2.
