Introducing the ‘Durango Deluxe DD-3' from the esteemed ‘Blade’ guitars, founded by industry icon Gary Levinson.
In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

Small Guitar, Big Sound!
SET-NECK CONSTRUCTIONThe inviting, slender body of the Durango Deluxe is made from Okoume a tonewood which behaves incredibly similarly to mahogany in its resonance and has proven popular and seen increased use with some of the most respected manufacturers in the world today.
The use of Okoume offers many advantages, both sonically and otherwise. Firstly, Okoume makes for a warm, mellow sound whilst responding thoroughly well to low frequencies, and pronounced lower mids with magnificent sustain and resonance. Secondly, Okoume, whilst similar to mahogany in its characteristics and tonal behaviour, is not similar in its physical weight. Good news for those guitarists who often find themselves performing prolonged sets and for those long, hard days in the studio!
The Durango Deluxe’s fingerboard is made from Pau Ferro, arguably similar in appearance to rosewood, but tighter in grain which results in a ‘snappier’ tone. Pau Ferro offers a deep, warm tone, and a smooth playing experience underneath the fingers. The neck itself is beautifully made and sit’s in the fretting hand with a brilliantly natural, comfortable and familiar feel. The neck is super-fast and extremely encouraging to play.

'DURANGO DELUXE DD-3'Blade’s Durango Deluxe DD-3 is a sublime guitar, aimed toward the rock/indie oriented player. The inclusion of the matt nickel capped ‘LHN-4’ humbuckers provides a great platform for huge rock tones, delivering red-hot, cutting leads, and huge ringing chords.
The Durango Deluxe’s simple controls, one for tone, one for pickup volume, are positioned for excellent access, well enough out of the way to prevent any accidental knocks mid-song! The DD-3 MUST be played to be appreciated, this is an out-and-out rock machine!
