The tonal flexibility within the B-3 Custom can largely be accredited to the extensive control section, which allows for fantastic in-depth tweaks to your tone, ensuring the BC-3 from Blade is able to adapt well to almost any playing style.
With the B-3 Custom, Blade have taken the best characteristics of classic basses and added to it, greater playability, more flexibility, more tone – and breathtaking looks. What more could you ask for!
Breathtaking 'Nightwood' Finish
burl topThe BC-3 is certainly up there when it comes show-stopping looks thanks to it’s spalted maple top which really does lend itself beautifully to the ‘Nightwood’ finish. The body itself is made of Alder wood, which can be said to be the most balanced tonewood to use for the body. Alder offers an even balance of low, mid and high frequencies, which results in a full-bodied tone.
The smooth playing neck of the BC-3 is made from Canadian Rock Maple, a solid wood often described as a staple neck wood for bolt-on neck guitars.
The neck feels smooth in the fretting hand allows for swift movement up and down the fretboard, whilst the BC-3’s Rosewood fingerboard helps to serve up the warm, rich tones you’ll come to adore from this gorgeous bass guitar!
