CabinetA large amount of thought and dedication has been given into making sure these speakers perform as well as the originals. The rear terminal plate has been changed to accommodate a better standard of connector whilst the crossover network has the same value capacitors, but with higher end material and rating.
The inductors are identical in dc resistance, winding dimensions and value to the originals. The cabinet is finished off with MDF and a stunning real wood veneer.

DRIVERSThe engineering process for these AV10-MHF tweeter domes proved to be quite difficult when trying to match the same phenolic resin doping identical to the original performance curve. Avatone’s engineers undertook this design process in-house, to guarantee they are all identical to each other. One of the original vendors, is a vendor whom Avatone worked closely with in order to achieve the exact same stiffness and weight.
One of the primary differences is, Avatone opted to use a pressed cone, rather than a ‘lapped’ cone, this achieves tighter control over the stiffness and weight. Avatone’s extensive testing proved to show zero differences in tone or response, between Avatone’s and the original. This has resulted in the benefit of being the first-time matched pairs available today.
