This is the first microphone to be designed by the public and microphone users during the development process. Whilst the voicing has been all down to the public, the durable chassis design Aston are known for is still included.

Outstanding PerformanceThe Element microphone is a side-fire, single pattern cardioid microphone, featuring innovative Ridyon capsule technology. The Ridyon was specially designed by Aston themselves. With 48V of phantom power, an incredibly lightweight active moving coil diaphragm, you get performance and sensitivity you generally only find in higher end microphones. Combining the outstanding noise rejection from a dynamic mic and natural sound characteristics you get from a ribbon mic, the Element is a fantastic multipurpose microphone.

The capsule is larger than most of its peers but this allows the diaphragm of the microphone to move further and more freely. As a result, it comes with more bass response and can resist much higher sound pressure levels without distorting.
