The Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Sport USB is a premium 300mm sim racing steering wheel developed in official collaboration with McLaren and based on the McLaren Artura GT4 motorsport steering wheel. Designed to replicate the ergonomics and components of the real racing wheel, it combines a rigid automotive-grade aluminium construction with ergonomic rubber grips, 14 RGB-illuminated automotive push buttons, two multifunctional 7-way joysticks, two 12-position rotary switches and precision Gen 6 magnetic paddle shifters. The wheel provides more than 30 inputs through its 14 automotive push buttons, two multifunctional 7-way joysticks and two 12-position rotary switches. The joysticks can be used for navigating simulator menus and displays or assigned to functions such as brake-balance adjustment, while the rotary switches and additional controls provide extensive adjustment options without taking your hands away from the wheel.

The 14 high-quality automotive push buttons provide tactile feedback with every press and individually adjustable RGB illumination supporting up to 16 million colours. Interchangeable, laser-etched button caps allow the controls to be labelled with common motorsport symbols without needing to open the wheel, making it easy to tailor the interface to different cars and simulator functions.

Shift with Gen 6 Magnetic Paddles

Gen 6 magnetic and silenced single paddle shifters deliver strong snap-action feedback while reducing operating noise. Damped rubber stops, preloaded ball bearings and contactless Hall sensors provide a precise, consistent paddle action with minimal play, while the paddle and clutch functions can be upgraded as required.

Connect Directly via USB

The Artura Sport USB uses a platform-independent USB connection, allowing the wheel to operate directly with compatible PC sim racing systems without relying on a proprietary wireless wheelbase connection. The wheel has a maximum USB power consumption of 500mA and requires no additional power injection, while its robust, shielded coiled cable uses an industrial Binder M16 connector for a secure connection.

Upgrade the Paddle Configuration

The Artura Sport USB has an upgradeable control platform, allowing the single paddle configuration to be expanded with double shifters and clutch paddles. This gives drivers the flexibility to configure the wheel around different racing disciplines and vehicle requirements.

Mount to Compatible Wheelbases

The steering wheel uses a 6 x 70mm mounting hole pattern and is supplied with M5 x 12mm stainless-steel screws for mounting the quick-release system. A quick-release mechanism is not included unless selected at checkout, while a QR spacer may be required to provide sufficient clearance between the Binder connector and the wheelbase. The connector is approximately 64mm long.

Compatibility

The Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Sport USB is a platform-independent USB steering wheel designed for PC sim racing. The manufacturer lists compatibility with Fanatec, Asetek, Simagic, VRS Direct Force and AccuForce systems, as well as additional compatible wheelbase platforms. The wheel also supports unrestricted operation with all PC motherboards and the Asetek QR System. A suitable quick-release mechanism is required for installation and is not included unless selected at checkout.
