Product Overview

Extra Secure Copper Core Cooler for Intel® LGA1700

Copper core cooler for Intel® LGA 1700 processors using an open frame 90mm PWM twin ball bearing fan for low-noise and reliable performance cooling. Metal screw and retention plate are used for easy mounting and extra-safe retention.

Extra Large Core Shape, More Cooling Performance

The new LGA1700 socket caters for processors with larger package sizes compared to previous desktop processor generations. To ensure maximum contact and thermal transfer, Akasa has increased the contact area between the cooler core and the processor in order to maximise heat dissipation and cooling performance.

Low-Noise and Efficient Cooling

Combines low-noise, efficient cooling with great value. Designed to work with CPU’s up to 125W thermal design but greater cooling efficiency can be attained with efficient case airflow. Perfect for workstation desktop systems.

Intelligent and Optimised Design

Hi-performance and engineered aluminium heatsink with bi-ped fins to double the dissipation area, coupled with an open frame 90mm fan that features intelligent PWM function, delivers as much air as needed at any given time to cool the CPU. Coupled with hi-grade thermal interface pre-applied. Ensuring that the cooler delivers outstanding cooling performance.

New and Easy Mounting Design

Perfect for the new Intel LGA1700 socket mounting pattern with extra-safe metal screws and retention plate.

Array of Compatibility

Supports common desktop motherboards such as ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX.

Features

• Height of the cooler is only 63.2mm.
• Large full-height copper core for rapid heat dissipation.
• Compatible with Intel® LGA 1700.
• Intelligent PWM and silent fan.
• 90mm low-noise and durable PWM fan.

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.
