M.2 SSD to PCIe Adapter Card

The M.2 SSD to PCIe adapter card allows the easy installation of M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD into computer systems without an available M.2 PCIe slot. Supporting M.2 form factors of 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 & 22110, it easily slots in any spare standard PCIe x4, x8 or x16 lane slot on your motherboard. The included optional low-profile bracket, enables the adapter to be used in system with full-height or low-profile expansion slots as required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I'm using this on an MSI Z97S Krait with a 1TB Patriot Viper. The native m.2 slot on my motherboard only gives me PCIe 2.0 x2, so to achieve the full speeds, I needed an AIC, and this fit the bill. It's cheap, the drive attached to it was picked up straight away in BIOS and Windows 10 Disk Management, I just needed to disable CSM to be able to boot from it. The blue power LED and red activity LED is quite nice too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AAAA++++ Used with a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO, M.2 (2280) , on an old non m2 mb, x58ud3r. Doesn't show in my bios so cant boot from it but shows in windows 10 and the M2 needed Samsungs driver in win 7. Works great, no problems, but had to swap it around the pci slots to be seen in windows on my mb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adaptation works as intended. Very small cross head screwdriver needed though (think jewellers), as the retaining screw on the board is tiny and comes pre-fitted and must be removed to fit a ssd onto this adaptor card and then re-fitted.

is this compatible with Samsung 1TB 960 Evo M.2 PCIe 3D Solid State Drive/SSD MZ-V6E1T0BW

It works on my system (X58ud3r) with this SSD, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO, M.2 (2280) PCIe 3.0 (x4) NVMe SSD, Phoenix, MLC V-NAND, 3400MB/s Read, 2500MB/s Write, 500k/450k. I had to swap around the pci slots for it to show in windows and use samsungs driver for the M2 in win7.
