The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. 80mm AKASA AK-170CB-4BLS Clear Crystal Blue LED Case Fan is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fans Great. Fans are fast and quite keeps my Slim line case cool. It lights up and blue led is use ally cool. I needed four for this case bit of a squeeze with plastic around the edge and there are led's that don't have the plastic around the fan to protect the cable joints. Some are covered up where the fan cables are soldered Akasa did a plastic all the way around. The case its in is this Silverstone Milo ML03B.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LED fail Ordered a pair of these, the LEDs in one starting flickering on the first day and died the second, and a couple of days later the LEDs in the other one started flickering too. The fans still work and are reasonably quiet for the price, but I don't think I'd buy these again. I have another Akasa blue LED fan from about ten years ago which still works fine, so I wasn't very pleased when these brand new ones acted up so quickly.
