LG 45GX950B-B.AEK UltraGear evo GX9 Curved Gaming Monitor
The LG UltraGear evo GX9 45GX950B-B.AEK is a premium 45-inch-class curved OLED gaming monitor designed for immersive gaming, high-performance visuals and demanding multitasking. Its 5K2K resolution of 5120 x 2160 combines expansive ultrawide viewing with exceptional detail, while the 800R curvature draws the display around your field of view. With a native 165Hz refresh rate, an ultra-fast 0.03ms GtG response time and Dual-Mode technology supporting up to 330Hz at WFHD resolution, it delivers flexible performance for both visually rich games and competitive gameplay.
OLED technology produces deep blacks and vivid colours, supported by VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, HDR10 and 98.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage. AI upscaling enhances lower-resolution content for the 5K2K display, while NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro help deliver smooth, tear-free gaming. DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C with 90W power delivery provide versatile connectivity for gaming PCs, laptops and other compatible devices.
Immersive 5K2K OLED with 800R Curvature
Experience expansive gaming environments on the 5120 x 2160 5K2K OLED display, which combines a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio with a high pixel density of 125 PPI. The pronounced 800R curvature wraps the screen around your field of view, creating a more immersive experience while providing ample screen space for multitasking, creative applications and productivity.
Dual-Mode Performance for Every Gaming Style
Switch between native 5K2K resolution at up to 165Hz for detailed, visually rich gameplay and WFHD resolution at up to 330Hz for fast-paced competitive gaming. This Dual-Mode capability lets you prioritise image detail or motion fluidity depending on the game, making the UltraGear evo GX9 adaptable to a wide range of gaming preferences.
Near-Instant Response with OLED Technology
With a 0.03ms GtG response time, the OLED panel transitions between colours exceptionally quickly, helping minimise motion smearing and ghosting during fast-moving scenes. Combined with high refresh rates, this rapid pixel response keeps gameplay looking sharp and responsive, whether tracking opponents in competitive shooters or following action in cinematic titles.
Deep Blacks and Vivid HDR Colour
OLED technology delivers individually controlled pixels for deep blacks and precise contrast between dark shadows and bright highlights. VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and HDR10 support enhance compatible content, while 98.5% DCI-P3 colour coverage provides a broad, vibrant colour gamut. Factory colour calibration helps deliver accurate colours straight out of the box, making the display suitable for immersive gaming and colour-sensitive creative work.
AI Upscaling for Enhanced Image Detail
AI upscaling enhances lower-resolution content to take advantage of the monitor's 5K2K display, helping improve perceived sharpness and detail. This allows compatible content to benefit from the screen's high resolution without requiring every game or video to render natively at 5120 x 2160.
Smooth Gaming with Adaptive Sync
NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support help synchronise the monitor's refresh rate with compatible graphics hardware to reduce screen tearing and stuttering. Variable refresh rate support helps maintain smooth visuals as frame rates fluctuate, while the monitor's high refresh rates and rapid response time provide a responsive gaming experience.
Gaming Tools for Greater Control
Dynamic Action Sync helps reduce input lag, while Black Stabilizer improves visibility in dark scenes where important details might otherwise be difficult to see. Additional features include a Crosshair overlay, FPS Counter, customisable user key and automatic input switching. Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture support also make it easier to view multiple sources on the same display.
AI Scene Optimisation and AI Sound
AI Scene Optimisation automatically adjusts picture characteristics such as colour temperature, enhancement and sharpness according to the displayed content. AI Sound processing helps distinguish voices, sound effects and ambient audio, making team communications clearer and important in-game sounds easier to identify. Built-in 7W x 2 stereo speakers provide convenient audio, while the four-pole headphone output supports compatible headsets with microphone connectivity.
Versatile Connectivity with DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C
DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR 20 support provides high-bandwidth connectivity for demanding display modes, while two HDMI 2.1 inputs accommodate compatible gaming systems and additional devices. USB-C supports DisplayPort video, data transmission and up to 90W power delivery, allowing a compatible laptop to connect to the monitor and charge through a single cable. Two USB-A downstream ports provide additional connectivity for peripherals.
Ergonomic Design with UltraGear Lighting
The curved display is supported by an adjustable stand with height, tilt and swivel adjustments, helping you find a comfortable viewing position. Unity Hexagon Lighting adds an illuminated gaming aesthetic, while the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting support allows installation on a compatible monitor arm. LG Switch and LG Calibration Studio provide additional tools for managing display settings, layouts and colour calibration.
