Product Overview The NETGEAR M4300 Stackable Switch Series delivers L2/L3/L4 and IPv4/IPv6 cost-effective services for mid-enterprise edge with full PoE+ and SMB core deployments with unrivalled ease of use: 10 Gigabit models can seamlessly stack with 1 Gigabit models within the series, enabling spine and leaf line-rate stacking topologies. Non-stop forwarding (NSF) virtual chassis architectures provide advanced High Availability (HA) with hitless failover across the stack. Dual redundant, modular power supplies equipping full width models contribute to business continuity management. Layer 3 feature set includes static, dynamic and policy-based routing – as standard. Perfect for wireless access, unified communications and IP video, the NETGEAR M4300 Switch Series is also ready for the future, with Software-defined Network (SDN) and OpenFlow 1.3 enabled for your network.

The M4300 series scales from 24x1G to 48x10G and up to 384 ports per stack. Nonstop forwarding, spine and leaf, edge to core connectivity for unified wired and wireless networks. Unstoppable operation with management unit hitless failover and no service interruption for the clients connected to the other switches in the stack.

• All (48) 10G ports are independent and 1G backward compatible for progressive transition to 10G speeds.
• With 960 Gbps non-blocking fabric, M4300-24X24F delivers L2/L3/L4 and IPv4/IPv6 rich services for virtualisation (Auto-iSCSI prioritisation), server / storage interconnect and SMB core applications.

PoE deployment at the edge
Common for intermediate distribution frames (IDF) in K-12, horizontal or vertical ring stacking topologies greatly simplify Power over Ethernet deployments at the edge and bring network resiliency with distributed 10G uplinks in aggregation to the core.

Top-of-rack and server installations
For midsize server installations, two half-width M4300 10 Gigabit models can be paired in an effective single rack space for redundant top-of-rack. Non-stop switching, non-stop routing stacking technology ensures no single point of failure for servers connecting to the stack.

Spine and Leaf topologies
For typical collapsed core installations with a variety of 1G and 10G access ports in high performance local area networks, M4300 10G models can stack with M4300 1G models creating 'spine and leaf' topologies, reducing oversubscription, even enabling line-rate aggregation to the spine.
