These are good professional monitors - I am using two of them in a development rig. I had an initial problem as the DVI's in an Asus 970 GTX STRIX only has one (DVI-D) capable of the 2560x1440 that the monitors demand. I have two workstations so I also wanted to access both machines on both monitors. I already had a handy ATEN KVM that did the trick for one set of monitors so how to do the same with the other monitor at the same resolution- tricky- only 1 DVI-D per machine. The solution was relatively simple - use a 4K HDMI switch for the other half of the switching - you only need the audio and Video to switch - you already have the other KVM working the keyboard and mouse. If you are going to use ANY high res monitor with a display port setup using a 970GTX STRIX - steer clear until NVida sort out the display driver - you will get into all sorts of configuration loops if you do - just warning.. As far as the display port on the ASUS PB258Q it works to spec. I use the Blue filter quite a lot at night and it seems to do the trick - I have talked about this feature to my optician - For some people it works - some it doesn't .
A good useful pair of monitors all round. by the way the packaging for the monitors by SCAN was top quality..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flipperbot Plenty of hight adjustment, easy setup.
Very bright screen so much so I got it set at less than 50%, blue light feature also helps to dull the screen back. Loads of hight adjustment so I'm no longer looking down at it. Don't bother buying any leads it comes with so many you don't know what to do with them all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tizze Great product and many features but quality could be improved
For being one of the slightly cheaper 2K monitors around, I'm sure it's better than most at its price range. But knowing Asus and their quality I expected better sRGB colour representation which is still excellent but not 100% as advertised (between +-97%) colours are good and vibrant. Having said this the preset modes are good for a wide range of viewing tasks but gaming mode it's a bit too vibrant and almost cartoony, I would never use this preset mode. Apart from this, it's the best IPS panel I've had so far and the resolution makes everything look extremely crisp on its 24.5 inch display (counting the ~2cm black boarder zones on each side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chester A 1440p crisp display, may be a little small for some at this res.
Most 1440 line displays are 27" like my iMac used to be, so getting used to a 25" is a little strange and I've needed to bring the display a little closer to me than what I'd normally recommend to users. Colours are really punchy, so much that careful control of saturation and contrast needs to be done. Within the menu system, I've stuck with Standard Mode and a Cool colour temperature. This has reigned in a lively palette making for a more natural and less fatiguing image. RGB control is available but not something that will impress digital artists/photographers looking to accurately calibrate at the monitor, but fine for those making adjustments with their source devices. Switching ports automatically works really well (I have HDMI and DisplayPort used). The sound is fine for notifications and maybe the odd YouTube video. The stand allows the monitor to wobble slightly if your desk is a little lightweight or uneven, but it's very adjustable especially with good height range; good for those with particular ergonomic requirements. This monitor gets a recommended from me; the modes that could be more useful but don't really add anything over Standard. Overall really happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveD Highly recommended for detailed work
Great resolution, colours and image. Easy to set up, and a good sturdy adjustable stand which is tall enough to set at a sensible viewing level.
