The heat spreader on Corsair LPX DDR4 memory is made of pure aluminum, creating a faster heat dissipation and a cooler operation. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's RAM and it works. Put 4 x 8GB sticks of this in to my ASUS Maximus VIII Hero board and using the XMP profile it's running happily and very stable at 2400. Good solid heat spreaders but one very odd thing I found was when fitted the Vengeance logo face the CPU. I'm guessing most will say 'so what?' and I'd agree but if you're the type that wants your build to be just perfect in it's appearance then this might just count. Although I'm now using a Corsair Hydro H110i GTX for cooling I can say that these RAM modules are sufficiently lacking in height that they can be used with the likes of a Noctua NH-U14S with two fans mounted. The fronts fan just touched the heat spreader but not in such a way that it moved it or caused issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right choice for a gamer If you're gaming right now, you don't need more speed or more capacity to play any game available right now. Good kit from an established brand with good RMA service in the event something goes wrong. I knocked a point off the value because Scan do not offer much variety with RAM brands, and in my own opinion a competitor may offer a better priced similar performing kit.

Yes, you would just go into the BIOS and in the AI Tweaker section set the overclocking profile to XMP, it will automatically set the RAM to it's pre programmed speeds and timings and run just fine. On modern Intel platforms, setting up RAM to run at its rated speed is absolutely effortless, and your motherboard's documentation will also include imagery and instruction on how to do this.

Yes, simply enter the BIOS and enable XMP for the memory. You will be able to find easy to follow documentation in your motherboard's manual on how to do this, or view one of many informative videos on youtube on the subject. It really is effortless to set up RAM on modern Intel platforms.
