Rated 5 out of 5 by Andy2 Excelent cooling set
Hi, I found everything fine. the hole cooling unit ( fan and sink) works brilliant with no clash with memory module or anything. That was a surprise how silent it is.It operates at the moment in an 65mm case that is currently open. When I closed the panel it was extremely noisy due to the close distance. I tend to solve the issue probably by replacing the 84W TDP cpu with less hungry one.

If your looking for something that can fit in anything and cool anything, then this is the product for you. It will keep a 6600k at stock clock speed under 50c on average. I managed to get mine up to
4.6 ghz and still be under 75c!

Very good heat sink for non-overclocked CPU. No noise if your CPU TDP falls in Noctua's Spec. (check first on their website)

I found this cooler is amazing, fairly quite and easy to installed. If you are not looking for high OC on your CPU, this cooler is a good choice, also save a lot of space as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AndyF Quality...at a premium price.
Having bought a new CPU and board, I thought I'd treat myself to something better than the stock plastic 'push-pin' mount cooler.
The L9i is supplied with a low noise adapter, tube of NT-H1 thermal paste and a Noctua branded case badge. Obviously, these additional items and the insane 'presentation pack' retail packaging all add to the price of what is essentially a fan screwed to a heat sink.
However, as would be expected from Noctua, this is a very well engineered product that exudes quality, with the overall build and finish being excellent. The 92mm low profile fan is virtually inaudible even at high speeds.
The mounting bracket is attached to the heat sink, no backplate required, just four bolts from the rear of the motherboard.
Despite it being only 95mm square, it only just about clears the VRM heat sink on my Asus Z97-K board. It's actually quite easy to jam the L9i against the VRM and not make full contact with the CPU.
It does fit and operation is totally fine, but definitely requires some extra care when fitting, if you have a similar board to mine.
Pros: Built to last, compact, quiet, sturdy mounting arrangement.
Cons: Price, wasteful packaging, unnecessary included extras.

For such a low profile cooler, the performance is outstanding, took my cpu temps from around 67c-75c to a steady 40c. Would recommend this product

Using this with the low noise adaptor so can't comment on what it's like without it but I'm using it on a I3 2100 in a low noise media server. Keeps the cpu nice and cool and is not audible at all, feels solid and is nicely constructed. Comes with a decent tube of thermal compound. Would definitely recommend if you want something low profile and quiet with decent cooling potential.

Very quiet. Barely audible in a mini PC build almost all of the time; at high load it's a smooth and still surprisingly quiet.
