The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fans Bought these to go into a Corsair case, very quiet when running, intended to put 2 in the top of the case but forgot about having a rather large cooler, still there is plenty of space to locate it somewhere else

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Revived an aging Corsair H80 Cooler Bought these to see if there was any chance of bringing my old H80 up to scratch for use with an AMD FX-9590. So far so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THEY MOVE AIR !!! I can't find anything wrong with them really, they make a little noise when you're maxing the RPM but it's nothing against it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from improved yes these fans are alot better than the corsair ones that come with the h100igtx they dont seem to be as loud ambient temps have been quite a bit hotter with the heat we had last few weeks so i did few test with my link software , i have my link set to 50percent /60/70 for gaming now , set on my old corsair fans that came with i had 55/65/75 so at moment i am 5 percent down on my profiles (less sound now as well ) idle temps are has of today are 25,24,24,23,23,25 set up is 50 is my quiet every day running ie browsing watching blu rays and as such 60 is on my light dx 9 games and then i have 70 for my top end game pushers ie division, bf4 and company of heroes so the game used at moment is the division that is on x99 platform with o/c of 4.2 ghz on 5820k with a evga 1080 sc on asus 1440p gsync with ultra settings on the game and the new nvidia settings used . old corsair fans with h100igtx i was hitting around 55-60 degrees new ml series fans (both set up are on on push ) i have been on today and now hitting around 46-50 over the six cores on 6 hr gaming i do have 4 x 120mm noctuas nf12 fans which was on my old i7 4770k and i no some people will say they are better but with doing o/c and playing around i like to have a bit in reserve for instance nf12 run 1500rpm flat out ml series run at 2400rpm the nf 12 at full chat give static pressure of 2,61 mm H₂O and the ml series gives 0.2 - 4.2 mm H2O nearly double the amount these are great for a queit build and work great on a normal rig but when pushing i prefer the corsair ml series has i have 30 percent in reserve for a sound test i have it set on profile 60 and fans running at 1530 rpm and noise level seems to be slightly quieter than the noctuas this is probably due to 4 fans vs 2 fans hope this helps oh by the way case was a corsair 540 3x120mm fans on front 140mm fan on rear ,pc is situated on top of my desk
