The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value for money plus looks Comparing these fans against others I found that these were the fastest rpm with lowest dB out there. Plus with the blue LEDS in my black and blue windowed case, they were just perfect 21 March 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by good but loud shift air well but can be loud on full speed and give a nice bright colour blue 23 February 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by For what it is.. It's a fan with blue lights, not the quietest in my case, but not too noticeable. Good illumination, not too bright and not pointless. 21 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Silent Very quiet running at performance level at only 600-700 rpm. Also keeps tower like ice. Great buy. 15 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 120mm cooler master sickleflow fans i had bought three fans due to using a fan controller all three are and still working perfectly when i set them to manual or auto they kick in when im gaming and expel the heat quite quickly and at night time leaving blue patterns on my wall has an extra effect im totally glad that i have bought them and at the price i have bought them money well spent 06 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect really! Can't really ask much more, the blue is nice and deep and running at a sensible rpm they are quiet and flow decent amounts of air. They do get noisy on full whack though, probably better on a case that is more thermally efficient so they can run slow. 10 July 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good fan, but far from quiet These fans create good airflow, and the LEDs look lovely, but I would not say these fans are quiet when at full speed. Tried to run two off these directly off the PSU, so both were at full speed, and the noise was distracting to say the least. But perhaps that was naivete on my part, expecting a 2000rpm fan to be quiet. Good product though 04 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic item Got these for my son to make his own super gaming PC, he loves the fact they are LED 18 March 2014

Will this connect to my motherboard 4-pin??

My motherboard has a 4-pin connection for a fan and I wondered if this would connect to it or would I need to get a cable which changes the cable connection?

Answer:
Hello,

As this is a 3-pin connection it will still work with a 4-pin fan header that is on the motherboard, you shouldn't require any adapters.

Answer:
Yes it will
Just make sure you line it up correctly. You'll have to orientate it to make it fit correctly but you'll see what I mean. And the fourth pin will be ignored. Hope this helps
