Product Overview

CiT Rainbow Ring 12cm Fan

Light up your PC case with one of our new Single Ring LED fans available in Rainbow, red or blue. Our all new PC case fans are a worthwhile investment for keeping your rig cool and is the perfect fan for entry level computing and gaming.

We have designed a fan with optimised airflow thanks to the seven blade design. Spinning at 1200rpm, which equates to 48.7 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air being moved around your case, a good amount that will keep your case cool. Despite spinning at such a high RPM this fan is quiet, with about 20dBA of noise created.

Features

• Designed using 7 black blades these new single ring fans are a quiet, reliable and cost effective ideal for in-take or exhaust fans.
• Our single ring LED fans are available in three different colour variants and the 16 LEDs positioned on the outer ring guarantee a burst of colour to light up all of your internals.
• Improve heat dissipation thanks to fan constantly spinning at 1200RPM with approximately 48.7CFM of air when your system needs it most.
• A hydraulic bearing fan guarantees a low-noise operation without worrying about the performance of the fan dropping.
• 4 Pin Molex and 3 Pin power connectors are included for easy installation and universal use.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.
