The Perfect Blend of Airflow and Static Pressure.
optimized cooling performanceBy focusing on the P/Q curve, the ROG Strix XF delivers cool airflow to exactly where you need it, with whisper-quiet operation. Whether you install the fan on your case or components, the results stay superior.
Built to Last
MAGNETIC-LEVITATION TECHNOLOGYInside the ROG Strix XF is a unique fan bearing that features 360° MagLev technology to prevent slanting and friction. This intuitive tech delivers impressive cooling performance, near-silent noise and an exceptional lifespan of up to 400,000 hours.
Made with Aerodynamic Design
Fan-Blade GroovesThe ROG Strix XF has been crafted with precision-engineered grooves on the fan blades that direct and focus air. This allows the air to flow seamlessly along the blades to reduce flow separation, increasing fan performance and reducing noise.
Direct-Flow FrameThe carefully designed angle and curvature of the frame struts allow the airflow to be pushed in a unidirectional, highly focused stream. This genius design minimizes turbulence, with the focused airflow enhancing any static pressure.
Each Fan is Checked for Perfection
DYNAMIC BALANCE PRE-CALIBRATIONThe balance of each XF fan is manually tuned to minimize inefficiency and ensure optimal performance.
Kicking in Only when you Need It
PRECISE, FLEXIBLE PWM SPEED CONTROLWith an extensive range of 250-1800rpm, the XF fan offers precision and versatility that maximizes cooling performance across a range of workloads. The fan automatically turns off when set to 0% PWM, so you can enjoy silent, ultra-low noise when working with lighter workloads.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.
