Product Overview Please note this product is OEM, and is not supplied with installation screws.

This is by-far our best selling 120mm fan not just for cases but with some of our CPU Coolers too.

S-FLOW fan blade design delivers 30% higher airflow. IP54 moisture and dust protection.

Super silent 12cm fan with S-FLOW blades supplying 30% more airflow than a standard fan at the same speed. The greater performance combined with PWM automatic speed control allows the fan noise to be kept to a minimum.

The Apache fan creates more focused airflow providing blind-spot cooling, which makes it an ideal solution for a case or heatsink fan. HDB (Hydro Dynamic) bearings extend fan life and further enhance noise reduction. IP54 military standard ensures the fan is dust and moisture resistant. It’s powerful, quiet and tough! The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Reviews
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really good value and effective The fans themselves are almost silent and move a fair amount of air. The only issue I had was with the mounting system. It does work but uses rubber tubes which have to be pushed and pulled through the mounting holes on the fan. When doing this I constantly felt as if they were going to snap (no spares provided) and wouldn't rely on them a second time, if I decided to remount the fans later. In addition, the tube ends sit proud at the back of my case meaning that the side panel does not quite slide on fully. The fan itself looks and feels a bit cheap but its price and performance more than make up for this. 03 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Silent and efficient This fan is silent (to my ears) at normal speeds. Great product 18 September 2013
