M.2 Drive is No Longer Hidden A typical M.2 drive is installed on a motherboard or a riser card and secured by a tiny screw, and it can be a very troublesome and time-consuming process to install or remove the drive physically. However, with ICY DOCK's ToughArmor MB833M2K-B, M.2 drives are brought into the front of a computer case and makes M.2 NVMe SSD installation and removal a more straightforward and efficient process.
Toolless M.2 Drive Installation
Seamless Simplicity The ToughArmor MB833M2K-B streamlines M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD installation. Instead of inserting the drive at an angle and securing it with screws, simply place it in the tray, set the drive locker to the correct length, and press down to lock—it takes under five seconds. The tool-less design also extends to the aluminium heatsink: press the two buttons under the tray to release it, then snap it back on with light downward pressure when reinstalling.
Remove the heatsink cover by pressing the unlatch buttons beneath the tray.
Insert the M.2 NVMe SSD connector into the rear tray slot.
Slide the adjustable locker to secure the M.2 NVMe SSD.
A "click" sound will be made once the M.2 NVMe SSD is secured in place.
Full Drive Length SupportThis innovative adjustable M.2 locker slider accommodates all standard M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD drive length including 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), 2280 (80mm), and 22110 (110mm), making this drive tray universal to all drive length and future-proofing the extra-long M.2 drive 22110(110mm).
Maximum Cooling Performance
High-Efficiency Aluminium HeatsinkM.2 NVMe SSDs are notorious for their overheating issue, which can result in performance degradation and transfer speed throttling. We understand this issue and came fully equipped with an extra-large high-efficiency aluminium heatsink installed onto every ToughArmor MB833M2K-B’s tray. Additionally, each ToughArmor MB833M2K-B includes a pair of thermal heat pads to ensure that excessive heat is dispersed thoroughly throughout the entire heatsink.
Integrated Aluminium Heatsink CoverThe heat is further dispersed through the intelligently placed ventilation holes on all sides and working together with your computer cooling system. The drive remains at optimal operating temperatures even under full load.
