Drones & UAVs featuring 1080p & 4k video cameras

Using our broad range of camera drones
film your next video spectacular and aerial selfies.

FPV (First Person View) racing offers a unique flying experience that tests your reflexes to the max with punishing fails. This high-octane sport is all about speed and agility, but with Slow and low camera drones it’s all about capturing smooth, high-quality video footage. We won’t do a technical deep-dive here - there are lots of trusted online forums and blogs, and you can visit the manufacturer’s sites to find out about events, tutorials and view short films from the UAV community - but here’s some general advice to guide you through the first steps and keep you, and those around you, safe.

Fly Safe

There are lots of places to fly, but there are some restrictions.
Make yourself familiar with the CAA’s Drone code.

  • DRONE
  • Don’t fly near airports or airfields
  • Remember to stay below 400ft (120m)
  • Observe your drone at all times – stay 150ft (50m) away from people and property
  • Never fly near aircraft
  • Enjoy responsibly

Enthusiast Filmmaker

Camera Drones such as the YUNEEC BREEZE & DJI Phantom UAVs offer high definition video and a series of easy fly control options that produce compelling video your friends and family will want to watch again and again. Join a user group like DJI’s SkyPixel to share your content, watch and learn the latest tips from professional photographers and filmmakers to improve your aerial imaging skills.

Drone manufacturers are making improvements to flight stability and ease of control all the time but here’s a fact of life: If you are new to UAV flying you will crash your drone. Better to earn your wings on a less expensive unit, or make use of the UAV Drone pilot simulator software to get used to the ground station controls before you fly a more expensive camera. Our advice for first timers is start with a ready to fly (RTF) mini drone like the Parrot Rolling Spider.

Pro Filmmaker

From festivals and concerts to Hollywood features*, aerial drone footage from advanced systems like the DJI Mavic Pro, Phantom Pro or Yuneec Typhoon H is deployed to add significant production value - at a relatively low cost - to a project. What’s more, the latest Camera Drones are incredibly safe and offer a stress-free flying experience. The Typhoon H, for example, features Intel® RealSense™ technology, allowing the drone to navigate obstacles automatically. It has never been easier for content creators to record those ‘once-impossible’ shots, all in stunning 4K.

The film/TV/video Industry is an obvious and visible user of drone technology, but there are many fields outside media & entertainment where camera drones are used commercially, such as in agriculture & land management, the emergency services and utility inspection, to name only a few. Our Pro Video department offers a range of best-selling Camera Drones and accessories to fulfil the requirements of professional UAV pilots.

Whenever you buy a drone we encourage you to adopt the UAV code of etiquette, be a safe and responsible pilot, respectful of private property and the privacy of your community, but most of all, we want you to enjoy every moment you are airborne. Rookie pilot or Pro, share you aerial videos with @ScanProVideo
