Category A1 UAS

A1 drones are ultra-lightweight camera drones designed to fly close to people with minimal separation, sitting in the UK CAA’s “Open” A1 subcategory under the new UK Class Mark system (UK0–UK6) with UK0 and UK1 class markings. These models prioritise low weight, built-in safety features, and simplified licensing so creators can capture aerial footage legally and with confidence in the UK from 2026 onwards.
