Category A2 UAS

Category A2 drones or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) have become essential tools for many consumers, prosumers and professionals - whether capturing aerial footage, analysing hard to reach structures, mapping or surveillance operations.

Drones and UAS come in all shapes and sizes to suit a variety of uses and capabilities. They are classified by a ‘Open Category’ rating by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), determining where they can be flown and what weight (take-off mass) they are allowed to be. This is the main reference for the majority of drone activities.
