Drones or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) have become essential tools for many professionals - whether capturing aerial footage, analysing hard to reach structures, mapping or surveillance operations.

Drones and UAS come in all shapes and sizes to suit a variety of uses and capabilities. They are classified by the ‘Open Category’ rating by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), determining where they can be flown and maximum take-off weight. This is the main reference for the majority of drone activities.
