Battery Backup & Runtime Performance

Equipped with two 12 V, 9 Ah lead-acid batteries (field-replaceable), the UPS 2U provides up to approximately 8 minutes runtime at half load (˜ 500 W), or about 2.3 minutes at full load - sufficient time for graceful shutdown or bridging short power interruptions. Battery recharge takes 6–8 hours to reach around 90 % capacity.

Fast Transfer Time & Simulated-Sine Output

Upon mains failure, the UPS 2U switches to battery power in about 6ms (typical), maximum 10ms, minimising interruption to connected devices. On battery, it provides a simulated sine wave output, delivering stable AC power compatible with most consumer-grade and enterprise networking equipment.

Outlet Layout & Surge Protection

The unit offers 8 × IEC C13 AC outlets: four configured for battery backup + surge protection, plus four for surge protection only - allowing you to separate critical systems (e.g. switches, servers) from non-essential loads. The input is via a standard IEC C14 connector. Overload and short-circuit protection ensure safety under fault conditions.

Manageability & Network Integration

The UPS 2U includes network connectivity - an RJ-45 port (10/100 MbE) for monitoring and management, compatible with the broader UniFi ecosystem. This allows remote power status monitoring, graceful shutdown of servers or storage (e.g. UNAS/UNVR), and integration into network management workflows.
