High-Speed Outdoor 5G
The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor modem brings multi-gig mobile broadband to the edge, purpose-built for outdoor deployments where wired access falls short. A single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port feeds high-speed connectivity into your network, backed by 5G NR and LTE radio support. With both Nano SIM and Nano-SIM or eSIM options, it adapts easily to different carriers. Performance is a standout: up to 3.4 Gbps downlink and 560 Mbps uplink on 5G NSA, alongside 1.8 Gbps downlink and 650 Mbps uplink on 5G SA—ideal for remote offices, construction sites, event networks, and backup WAN links.
Handles the Elements
This isn’t indoor hardware repurposed for the outside—it’s engineered for exposure. The enclosure combines aluminum-alloy with UV-stabilized polycarbonate, shrugging off constant sunlight and harsh weather. IPX6 weatherproofing comes as standard, with IP67 protection available using the cable-gland door kit for full dust-tight sealing and water immersion resistance. It holds firm under wind loading of 91N at 200 km/h, making it suitable for rooftops, poles, and open-area installs. Operating reliably from -40 to 65 °C and in up to 95% noncondensing humidity, it’s ready for everything from freezing rural sites to hot industrial zones.
Wide Band Support, Anywhere Deployment
Coverage is extensive across global networks. 5G NR spans bands n1 through n79, including widely deployed n77, n78, and n79, while LTE support stretches from B1 to B71. Legacy 3G UMTS bands remain available for fallback scenarios. Transmission power is rated at HPUE power class 2—26 dBm for 5G and 25 dBm for LTE—helping maintain stronger uplink performance in challenging signal conditions. This makes it a strong fit for rural broadband, transport hubs, temporary installations, and failover connectivity in business-critical environments.
Pole & Wall Mountable
Deployment flexibility is built in. The unit supports both pole and wall mounting, with all hardware included. Pole compatibility ranges from 1 to 2.5 inches (25–63.5 mm), covering standard installations on masts, street furniture, and building exteriors. At 1.2 kg for the device and 130 g for the mount, it remains practical to install while still feeling solid and secure once in place.
Antennas That Pull Signal In
Inside the enclosure are six embedded cellular antennas, including two high-gain units dedicated to downlink. With peak gains of 9 dBi and an 85° by 85° radiation pattern, the modem is tuned to capture and hold onto signal in less-than-ideal conditions—perfect for edge deployments where signal strength can fluctuate.
Linked by PoE
Power delivery is handled via PoE through a single input, keeping cabling simple for outdoor runs. Maximum power consumption is just 14.5W, making it efficient to operate continuously. Management is handled over Ethernet, with a factory reset button for quick intervention and LED indicators for clear status visibility during installation and maintenance.
