WiFi 7 Performance
The UniFi U7 Pro XGS is a WiFi 7 access point with 8 spatial streams and coverage of up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²). It supports 500+ clients and features a 10 GbE RJ45 uplink. Maximum data rates reach 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz with 320 MHz bandwidth, 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz with 240 MHz bandwidth, and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with 40 MHz bandwidth.
Tri-Band MIMO
The U7 Pro XGS uses 2 x 2 DL/UL MU-MIMO on 6 GHz, 4 x 4 on 5 GHz, and 2 x 2 on 2.4 GHz. Antenna gain is rated at 6 dBi on both 6 GHz and 5 GHz, and 4 dBi on 2.4 GHz. Maximum transmit power reaches 24 dBm on 6 GHz, 29 dBm on 5 GHz, and 23 dBm on 2.4 GHz, with up to 8 BSSIDs per radio.
Advanced Wireless Features
Wireless meshing, band steering, 802.11v BSS Transition Management, 802.11r Fast Roaming, 802.11k Radio Resource Management (RRM), Zero-Wait DFS, Advanced Radio Management and real-time spectral analysis are supported. Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), captive hotspot portal, custom branding landing pages, voucher authentication, payment-based authentication and external portal server support are also included.
Network and Guest Management
The access point supports password authentication, guest network isolation, Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), WiFi speed limiting, client device isolation and WiFi schedules. RADIUS over TLS (RadSec) and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLAN are supported for more advanced network management.
Hardware and Installation
Measuring ?215 x 32.5 mm (?8.5 x 1.3"), the U7 Pro XGS weighs 800 g (1.8 lb) and supports ceiling or wall mounting, with a Lite Mount included. It uses a UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy enclosure, with stainless steel (SUS304) and galvanized steel (SGCC) mounting materials. Maximum power consumption is 29W, with a supported voltage range of 42.5–57V DC and a 10 GbE RJ45 networking interface.
UniFi Network Support
Management is provided over Ethernet through UniFi Network. The U7 Pro XGS White requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 or later, while the Black version requires version 9.1.120 or later.:::
