The TC50 KIT integrates a compact security camera with a powerful 800-lumen floodlight in a single unit, designed to brightly illuminate your property while deterring intruders and minimising disturbance to neighbours. This combined design removes the need for separate lighting and camera installations, simplifying setup and creating a cleaner external appearance.

Solar-Powered, Uninterrupted Operation

The kit includes the Tapo A201 solar panel and bracket, allowing the camera to be powered continuously without relying on a nearby mains socket. Just 45 minutes of direct sunlight per day is enough to keep the internal battery topped up for all-day use, giving you flexible placement options and eliminating concerns about running out of power. The angle-adjustable panel and extension cable let you position the solar panel for the best sunlight exposure while keeping the camera where you need it.

2K Pan/Tilt Coverage with Colour Night Vision

The camera records in 2K (3MP) resolution and can pan and tilt to cover a wide area from a single mounting point, reducing blind spots around driveways, gardens, and entryways. It also features colour night vision, so footage remains detailed and easier to interpret even in low light, rather than defaulting to black-and-white infrared.

Smart Detection and Floodlight Automation

Built-in AI detection distinguishes between people, pets, and vehicles, helping to reduce false alerts from things like leaves or passing animals. The floodlight can be set to activate automatically when motion or specific detected events occur, acting both as a deterrent and as a way to ensure the camera has enough light for clear colour footage at night.

Flexible Storage: Local microSD and Cloud Options

You can store recordings locally on a microSD card of up to 512GB, with the option to password-protect the card via the Tapo app for added security. Alternatively, Tapo Care cloud storage is available after a free trial, giving you off-site backup in case the camera or card is tampered with.

Wi-Fi Connectivity and Tapo App Control

The TC50 connects over standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) and is managed through the Tapo app, which provides live view, playback, alert settings, and floodlight configuration from your phone.
