The EB431v is a Wi-Fi 7, multi-gig, VoIP-capable router designed for high-speed home or small-office connectivity with advanced management and mesh support.

BE7200 Wi-Fi 7 Performance

The router delivers a combined theoretical wireless rate of up to 5760 Mbps on 5 GHz (EHT160) and 1376 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (EHT40), leveraging the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard for much higher throughput than earlier Wi-Fi generations. It supports features such as 4K-QAM, OFDMA, MU-MIMO and Multi-RU, which boost efficiency and capacity when many devices are connected at the same time.

Multi-Gig and Wired Interfaces

For internet and LAN, the device includes one 2.5G Ethernet WAN port, one 2.5G Ethernet LAN port, and three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, allowing flexible high-speed connections for PCs, switches or NAS devices. It also offers two phone ports for voice, plus a USB 3.0 port for peripherals or shared storage.

Mesh and Roaming Capabilities

The EB431v is EasyMesh compatible and supports 802.11k/v/r, enabling it to form part of a wider mesh system with smart roaming for more seamless coverage across larger homes or offices. Band steering, Airtime Fairness and beamforming further help connected devices move to the most suitable band and maintain stronger, more stable links.

VoIP and Telephony Features

With built-in VoIP, the router supports multiple VoIP accounts and a range of calling features so it can replace or complement a traditional landline. The presence of two phone ports makes it possible to connect standard telephones and use internet-based calling through your service provider.

Advanced Wireless and Security Functions

The router supports WPA, WPA2 and WPA3-Personal security, providing modern encryption options for different client capabilities. It also includes a SPI firewall, DoS protection, IP/MAC binding, guest network support, parental controls, QoS (WMM and additional QoS options) and VPN protocols including PPTP, OpenVPN and IPSec for secure remote access.

Management and Control Options

Local management is available through a web GUI and the Aginet app for end users, while service providers can use TR-069, TR-098, TR-181, TR-369, TR-111 and TR-143 for remote provisioning and diagnostics. Cloud management is supported via TP-Link Aginet Unified Cloud (TAUC), and the router offers features like Wi-Fi schedule, network diagnostics, traffic statistics and CWMP for detailed control and monitoring.

Operating Modes and Environment

The EB431v can operate as a standard router or as an access point, providing flexibility for integration into existing networks. It is designed to operate in typical home and office environments.
