Thermaltake Versa H18 Black micro-ATX Chassis with Window, MicroATX/Mini-ITX, 120mm Fan, 2x USB 2.0, USB 3.0 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and nice looking case This was my first time building a PC and the experience was ok. Pros: The case has a lot of ventilation from the front so the airflow is great keeping the components cool. It came with a rear fan that extracts the heat out of the case and it does a pretty decent job (I could feel the hot air being pushed out when I placed my hand over the rear vent whilst the CPU was under load.) The black paint is dark and is applied very well. it makes the case look very nice. The case is made out of sturdy metal that is a decent thickness. I mean, I applied some pressure to the case and there is almost no flex. Fitting the psu was easy because there was a lot of space underneath the psu shroud. The cons: Fitting a 3.5 inch hdd was slightly difficult because the bay is at the bottom of the case and the wires from the psu was there obstructing the area. I also had to screw the case to the hdd whilst holding the hdd. I would recommend this pc case to people who are on a budget and want good airflow. My PC specs: Thermaltake versa h18 windowed Ryzen 5 3600 asrock b450m pro4-f asus TUF gaming gtx 1650 super oc 8gb corsair vengance lpx 3000 ram sandisk 256gb SSD Toshiba p300 3tb HDD (cmr) aerocool integrator 500watt psu

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little case but check its wiring. First pc build i,ve done. Glad i did an out of case test first to check components. When i powered up system there was no sign of life. Checked power supply that was ok. Luckily i had an issue with my old pc with the power switch. Shorted out the motherboard power terminals and system worked. The case wiring has a power terminal block and a reset switch block. these were crossed over in case wiring so block marked power was connected to reset switch. Rather than return case i just switched the blocks over. emailed Scan about the issue but haven't heard back. Otherwise its a nice little case . Pity we can't get the tempered glass version in the uk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent case for the money I got this case for £32 (windowed but non-glass) and I have to say, compared to more expensive low-end cases I've had in the past this has really impressed me. With realistic expectations given the price point it is an excellent case for low to medium budget builds and the PSU shroud is a great feature. I havent encountered any sharp edges, with overall build quality generally being good for this price point. Power button is flimsy. I was expecting building in a low-budget micro-atx to be frustrating but no, the building experience was good and hassle-free. As far as case cooling goes, there is room for a front-mounted 240mm radiator or 3x 120mm fans at the front with another 2x 120mm at the rear and top. Overall plenty of airflow options can be achieved here for all levels of hardware; I can see even high end components could excel in here if you are into that. Cable management is basic but effective with a several tie areas, but you are given plenty of room behind the main compartment to hide excess cables as well as the shroud over the bottom of the case. The latter really is invaluable, particularly if your budget only allows a non-modular PSU. Heck, you can pretty much stuff all your cables under here and still have a pretty tidy build if you're feeling lazy. I did it by the book however, and had a relatively painless experience doing it. Storage can also be completely hidden from the window - two SSDs can be mounted on the front OR reverse side of the motherboard plate, and there is a harddrive mount under the PSU shroud. I really like this setup and glad to be rid of drive bays. Wish they made the case smaller instead though! An important note - the Hyper 212 in all its variations *IS* compatible. Max CPU cooler height is specified at 155mm, while the 212 is officially spec'd at 158mm. I can confirm that it fits fine with several millimetres of headroom to spare. Great temps and it looks fantastic in this case. Realistically the 'Max CPU cooler height' is about 162mm with non tempered-glass cases. Overall, really happy with this choice - a great case to build a micro-atx PC! I really enjoyed building with it and completely recommend it for beginners or intermediates. For those interested, my final 'super budget' specs: Thermaltake H18 (£32 new) Asus Q87 CS-B (£37 used) i5-4670k 3.4ghz OC 4.2ghz (£37 used) Hyper 212 Black (£25 used) Powercolor RX 580 Red Devil 8GB (£90 used) Corsair CX550M (£40 used) Corsair 16gb DDR3-1600 (already owned) Corsair Force 3 120GB (already owned) Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB (already owned) Total cost: £261 for excellent 1080p performance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good little case but check wiring. This case was for my first pc build. Glad i did a build outside the case to check parts worked. When i tried to power it up on completion there were no signs of life. Checked power supply ok. On my old pc the power button was faulty so i removed the cable from power switch terminals and placed a screwdriver on the terminals. Pc started normally. Traced problem to case wiring. plug marked power was wired to case reset switch and vice versa. rather than ship case back i just swapped cables over. Emailed scan but no reply. Other than that nice solid little case and easy for 1st timer to work on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth The Money This case is definitely worth the money especially on a budget build!. It's a shame that my case got delivered with a crack in the acrylic side panel which is a manufacturer defect and scan still haven't got back to me on it but overall the case is great!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent case, very good design and good air flow This case is extremely good value. It performs well 240 AIO compatible at the front. Rear 120fan and top 140fan Front can also take 3 140 fans if AIO is it your thing. Lots of cut outs for cable routing Very good depth at the back of motherboard tray to hide cables neatly away Good mounting mechanism for SSD and HDD Only issue is the power switch location (top corner) which is prone to be accidentally switched on. Only a couple of the motherboard standoff holes weren’t taped properly. Assume this is a QC issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Value For Money MATX Case This case has very good cable management space, comes pre-installed with many standoffs and is durable, great quality and looks amazing. The airflow is very good, and it has room for a large radiator for your water cooling needs. The branding is subtle, by no means an eyesore. I would prefer a tempered glass side panel, however at this price point you get what you pay for. There is no standoff installation tool with it either, which can be a pickle.

LED strip along side of front panel I/O. RGB or fixed colour?

This doesn't seem to be mentioned in the downloadable manual for the case. I've seen one video with it lit but can't find details if it is RGB. If so I imagine non addressable 4 pin connector? Anyone who has installed a system in this case able to advise please? Thanks
Asked by: TheHemulen
It is a fixed blue colour. Connector is a Molex connector.
