Your Cooling Dreams Come True

Thermaltake CTE E660 MX Dust Filtration Panels

There are five removable filters at the top, front, bottom, rear and right side of the chassis to provide excellent protection against dust, and they are easily removable for cleaning.

The CTE Form Factor focuses on providing high level thermal performance to critical components. The design utilises a 90-degree rotation of the motherboard providing more efficient airflow pathways. This approach allows more efficient intake airflow with independent thermal dissipation for both the CPU and GPU, resulting better optimised heat extraction from your entire system.

Thermaltake CTE E660 MX Cooling Options and Compatibilty

The CTE E660 MX is designed with enormous fan and cooler installation capacity. Up to fourteen 120mm fans or twelve 140mm fans can be installed in total, unless you decide to install up to a 420mm AIO cooler at the front, rear or side of the case. Moreover, equipped fan brackets at the front and bottom, as well as the installation spots at the top, rear and side, help to improve and ease the installation of all your desired cooling components.

Opportunity for Expansion

Thermaltake CTE E660 MX Interchangeable Front Panels

The CTE E660 MX has excellent expandability, allowing you to build the way you want, or change things as many times as you like. It supports both standard and back-connect motherboards, and is optimised for excellent cooling whilst displaying your components in the best light. With a 4mm tempered glass panel pre-installed on the left side, users can easily show off their interior configuration. The CTE E660 MX offers two interchangeable front panels: a tempered glass panel and a perforated panel for a more sleek look or further improved airflow. This case is engineered to support you on your journey to building the PC of your dreams.

Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.
