CTE C700 Air Black Mid Tower PC Case from Thermaltake
CTE - Centralised Thermal EfficiencyCTE C700 AIR and CTE C700 AIR Snow are Thermaltake's latest innovation, a compact version of the flagship: CTE C750 AIR. Utilising the CTE form factor and dual chamber design, CTE C700 AIR is able to draw cold fresh air from three directions. The 90° rotation of motherboard effectively moves two critical components, the CPU and graphic card, closer to the front and rear vents. Combined with the spacious interior, maximum cooling support, and tempered glass side panel, CTE C700 AIR is the ultimate showcase for your battle station, especially for DIY liquid cooling or dual AIO configuration.
Maximum Cooling Potential
For Excellent Thermal EfficiencyCTE C700 AIR has enormous capacity of fans and radiators installation: up to eleven 140 mm fans, and a 420mm AIO radiator in the front and rear. Aside from that, equipped fan brackets (front, bottom, and rear) grant ease to cooling component installation. There are additional fan brackets located on top of the PCIe slots and behind the motherboard, providing extra airflow.
CTE Form FactorThe 90°-clockwise-rotated motherboard grants a couple of benefits:
Firstly, the rear of chassis is wide-open for the fans and radiator. This feature, combining with the dual chamber design allows the CTE C700 AIR to draw air from three directions.
Secondly, the CPU and GPU now have independent airflow paths since they are sitting closer to the ventilation.
Brand New Case Fans
CT140CTE C700 Air comes with 3x pre-installed CT140 PC Fans:
• Fan Speed: 500~1500 RPM (PWM Ready)
• Max. Fan Airflow: 77.37 CFM
• Max. Fan Air Pressure: 2.3 mm-H2O
• Fan Noise Level: 30.5 dBA
• Fan Bearing: Hydraulic bearing
A Clear Display of Your Hardware
4mm Tempered Glass WindowCTE C700 AIR offers a 4mm thick tempered glass window panel on the left, with tool-less push-pin mechanism. The crystal clear window design allows you to fully display and admire all inner components of your liquid-cooling system.
Position Your GPU the Way You Like
Vertical VGA MountingWith vertical VGA kit, changing the direction of VGA card is as easy as you can ever imagine. Simply swap the pre-installed PCI-e slots with the vertical VGA mounting kit and you are good to go. With the rear of chassis open for multiple fans and long radiator, CTE C700 AIR is an perfect choice for “dual AIO configuration” with water-cooled graphic cards.
Plenty of Space for Storage
Meets High Storage RequirementsIn the right chamber of CTE C700 AIR, there are two HDD cages which you can install up to six 3.5” hard drives. An additional 3.5” drive or two 2.5” drives can be installed behind the motherboard should you wish to give up the fan. Two SSD cages can store up to six 2.5” SSD/HDD, and can be installed on either the HDD cages or fan bracket right behind the motherboard.
Protects Your System from Dust
Removable Dust FiltersAddressing the thermal issue often results in dust alert, CTE C700 Air is fully armed with removable dust filters on all ventilations to protect your system from the invasion of small particles.

There's more choice than ever before, but which computer case is right for you and which features should you look out for?
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008
The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008
Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.
